Volunteers are needed to pick up and drop off dogs for spay/neuters. A lot of dogs live outside of city limits so drive time is a little longer, but so worth the rewards.
On a cold January morning, five incredible volunteers gave their time to unchain several dogs.
We received a call about a skinny chained pit bull. Pugsly's family had fallen on hard times. Their dogs were over-breeding because they had never seen a vet. We made several dog food donations through winter and Puglsy looks amazing now. We also placed 7 adult dogs in rescue and saved 12 puppies from this same home. Sometimes volunteering means making a delivery or calling to check on a former chained dog.
